Go to the Beitou Transitional Market at No. 33 Huanggang Road and find stall D419 - not the old market building
Join the line. Close to noon it can take about 30 minutes
Order a small or large bowl of braised pork rice, plus braised tofu or an egg if you like
Take a free seat if you are eating in - tables turn over quickly
Carry cash in small notes, as market stalls often do not take cards

What to order solo: A small bowl of braised pork rice (about NT$35) with a braised egg or tofu on the side.

Best time to go alone: Before 10:00 on a weekday, when the line is shorter. Closed on Mondays and Thursdays, and it can sell out before 13:00.
