A Japanese hamburg steak restaurant on the ground floor of the Taipei Dome complex, grilling hand-formed beef patties over charcoal, with counter seats where you can watch the grill. Every order is a one-person set with rice and egg, so it is easy on your own, but it is walk-in only and can have a queue.

Best time to go alone: Right at 11:30 opening, or mid-afternoon on a weekday. Weekend meal times have the longest queues.
