Huang Long Zhuang

黃龍莊 · show this name to taxi drivers

A Shanghai-style dumpling house on Guling Street serving steamed xiaolongbao, shumai and fried rice. Dumplings only come by the whole basket, so one basket is a good solo meal; adding a fried rice is usually too much for one person.

How to order, step by step

  1. Wait for staff to seat you
  2. Order from the menu at your table - dumplings come only in whole baskets, no half portions
  3. Pay in cash
  4. Ask staff to pack anything you cannot finish
What to order solo: One basket of regular xiaolongbao (8 for NT$180 reported in 2026) with a soup or a vegetable dish. A solo diner who added fried rice found it far too much.
Best time to go alone: Weekday mid-afternoon, around 14:00-16:30. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
