A neighborhood market and a short night market side by side near Zhongshan Elementary School station. Qingguang Market has food stalls from morning into the evening, and Shuangcheng Street, under 100 m long, fills with dinner and dessert stalls after dark. It sees far fewer tourists than the big night markets, and almost everything comes in single portions.

How to order, step by step
- From Zhongshan Elementary School station Exit 1, walk about 5 minutes to Qingguang Market and Shuangcheng Street
- Come in the daytime for the market stalls, or after about 18:00 when the Shuangcheng Street night stalls are running
- Carry cash in small notes, as most stalls are cash only
- Order one thing at a time and eat at a stall's own seats or take it with you
- Check each stall's days off. They differ from stall to stall, and some noodle shops rest on Sundays
What to order solo: Braised pork rice at Huang Ji (黃記魯肉飯), dry noodles at Qingguang Yi Mian (晴光意麵), a red bean cake at Qingguang Red Bean Cake (晴光紅豆餅), dumplings at Hong Ji (鴻記水餃牛肉麵) in the evening, and a bowl of egg douhua at Ding Xiang (丁香豆花) to finish.
Best time to go alone: Late afternoon into early evening on a weekday, when the day stalls are still open and the night stalls are starting up.
