A Japanese tonkotsu ramen chain a minute from Zhongxiao Fuxing Station, where you build your bowl by choosing saltiness, noodle firmness, garlic and pork cut. One bowl per person makes it an easy solo meal, though a 10% service charge is added to every bowl.

How to order, step by step
- Take Exit 14 of Zhongxiao Fuxing Station. The shop is about a minute away in Lane 75 of Da'an Road
- Choose one of the four regular bowls. The menu lists them in English
- Tell staff how you want it: saltiness, noodle firmness, amount of garlic and type of pork
- Help yourself to the free bean sprouts and pickled greens on the table
- A 10% service charge is added to every bowl
- Closed on Wednesdays
What to order solo: The original Butao tonkotsu ramen (about NT$250 in 2026 before the 10% charge), or the spicy Akaoh (about NT$275) if you like heat.
Best time to go alone: Soon after it opens at 12:30, or mid-afternoon on a weekday.
