A small counter in the SOGO Fuxing basement food court selling tianbula: Taiwanese fish cakes whose name comes from the Japanese word tempura, though they are not batter-fried. They come with a sweet-and-spicy house sauce and a bowl of soup, and make a light snack or small meal.

- Order a plate of tianbula at the counter - it comes with soup
- Find a free seat in the shared food court seating
- Return your tray when you finish
- Last orders are 15 minutes before closing
What to order solo: One plate of tianbula with the soup. For a fuller meal, add something from another counter in the same food court.
Best time to go alone: Weekdays before 12:00 or between 14:00 and 17:00. Food court seats fill up at lunch, dinner and on weekends.
