A small, free exhibition hall run by the city about Maokong's two signature teas, Tieguanyin and Baozhong, with displays on how they are grown and made. It's on the way to the teahouses east of the gondola station and takes under an hour.

How to visit, step by step
- From Maokong Gondola Station, walk about 15 minutes east along Lane 40 of Zhinan Road, or take bus BR15 or S10
- Walk in for free. Individual visitors don't need to book
- Look around the displays on how tea is grown and processed in Maokong. There's an open tea seating area on the 1st floor where you can rest
- On Saturdays and Sundays, volunteers lead free guided tours at 10:00 and 14:20 with no booking needed. Ask at the desk whether the guide can speak English
- Weekday guided tours are only for booked groups of 25 or more
- The roads around here are narrow with little or no sidewalk, so walk carefully
Don't miss: The displays on how fresh leaves become Tieguanyin and Baozhong tea, before a pot of tea at a nearby teahouse.
Best time to go alone: A weekend morning for the 10:00 free tour, or a quiet weekday afternoon.
