Jinshan Governor's Hot Spring (Public Baths)
舊金山總督溫泉 大眾池 · show this name to taxi drivers
A hot spring house on the site of a Japanese-era guesthouse, using Jinshan's salty seaside spring water. The rooftop has separate men's and women's nude open-air baths (the men's side looks out to sea), and the ground floor has an open-air bath where swimsuits are required. Both are priced per person, so going alone is simple.

How to visit, step by step
- Take a short taxi ride from central Jinshan to No. 196 Minsheng Road. It's closed on Wednesdays
- Choose the rooftop nude baths (men and women separate) or the ground-floor open-air bath (swimsuit and swim cap required), and pay per person at the counter: NT$330 on weekdays and NT$380 on weekends and holidays (2026)
- Shower and wash before you get in. In the nude baths, towels are not allowed in the water
- Bring a towel, plus a swimsuit and cap if you plan to use the ground-floor bath. Ask at the counter what is provided
- Private rooms are priced for couples and families, so on your own the public baths are the simple choice
Don't miss: The rooftop nude bath. On the men's side you can look out over the sea while you soak.
Best time to go alone: A weekday afternoon or early evening. Weekends are busier and cost more.
