The family mee sua stall in front of Cixian Temple, one of Shilin Night Market's best-known snacks: thin rice noodles in a thick, savory broth with pork intestine, oyster or squid. A bowl is one serving and there are no seats, so you order, eat standing nearby and move on. A sit-down A Hui shop is a short walk along the same road.

How to order, step by step
- Join the line at the stall facing Cixian Temple
- Choose your topping - intestine, oyster, squid or mixed - and the bowl size
- Pay at the stall - bring cash
- Add the black chili sauce, garlic or vinegar yourself
- There are no seats. Eat standing nearby, but not on the temple steps. For a table, walk about 70 m along Danan Road to A Hui's sit-down shop opposite Good Friend Cold Noodles (its hours are not confirmed)
What to order solo: A bowl of mixed mee sua (綜合), about NT$60-70 depending on size. The 'three treasures' (三寶) bowl at about NT$170 is a separate, loaded item, not the regular price.
Best time to go alone: Soon after 15:30, before the evening line builds.
