Chen Dong Medicinal Herb Pork Ribs (Bade Road shop)

陳董藥燉排骨 八德店 · show this name to taxi drivers

The shop branch of Raohe Night Market's well-known medicinal herb soup stall: pork ribs or lamb stewed in a dark, fragrant Chinese herbal broth. It opens from 13:00 and has indoor seats, so you can have the same bowl in the afternoon without the night-market crowds.

How to order, step by step

  1. Go to No. 847, Sec. 4, Bade Road, about 200 m east of Ciyou Temple. This is the shop, not the stall in the middle of Raohe Night Market
  2. The menu has only three items: herbal pork ribs, herbal lamb and braised pork rice
  3. Order one soup and, if you want, a small bowl of braised pork rice
  4. Pay in cash
  5. Eat at the indoor tables. Seats are hard to get on winter evenings, so an afternoon visit is easier
What to order solo: One bowl of herbal pork rib soup (about NT$120 in 2026) with a small braised pork rice. Try the lamb version if you like stronger flavors.
Best time to go alone: A weekday afternoon after 13:00, before the evening rush. Closed on Tuesdays.
