Dian Xiao Er

店小二(萬年大樓) · show this name to taxi drivers

A no-frills pork chop rice shop in the basement food court of the Wannian Building, the same basement as Lao Shan Dong beef noodles. Besides fried pork chop over rice, it makes pan-fried potstickers and fried rice for a little over NT$100 a plate. The dining room is a cramped two-level space where strangers share tables, so one person fits right in.

How to order, step by step

  1. Take the escalator down to the basement (B1) of the Wannian Building and find Dian Xiao Er in the food court.
  2. At lunch and dinner, wait for a seat. Every table is shared, so take the free seat you are shown
  3. Tell staff what you want or point at the menu. A plate of pork chop rice is a full meal, and potstickers or fried rice are also on offer
  4. Pay in cash
  5. If you sit on the upper mezzanine level, mind the low ceiling
What to order solo: Pork chop rice. A 2026 menu put it at about NT$110, with chicken leg rice at about NT$120 and egg fried rice at about NT$70. Add a few potstickers if you are hungry. Check the posted price.
Best time to go alone: Mid-afternoon, around 14:00-17:00, when the shared tables are less crowded. It closes early, at 19:45.
