Shi Boss Spicy Stinky Tofu

施老板麻辣臭豆腐 · show this name to taxi drivers

A long-running stinky tofu stall in the middle of Raohe Street, known for spicy stewed stinky tofu with duck blood and for deep-fried stinky tofu with pickled cabbage. Orders come as two or three pieces and there are a few simple seats, so one portion makes an easy solo snack. It was a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand pick in 2018.

How to order, step by step

  1. Enter at the east gate by Songshan Station and walk a few minutes past the pepper bun stall
  2. Look for this stall in the middle of the street, just before Xiagang Mingpeng stinky tofu
  3. Choose spicy stewed or deep-fried stinky tofu and say how spicy you want it
  4. Ask for no duck blood if you do not want it
  5. Pay in cash and sit at the stall's seats if there is space
What to order solo: One order of spicy stewed stinky tofu (two pieces, about NT$70 in mid-2026), or three pieces of deep-fried stinky tofu (about NT$60) with pickled cabbage. Neither dish is vegetarian.
Best time to go alone: Early evening, before 19:00, when the street is less crowded.
