Spring City Resort — Indoor Private Hot Spring Room

北投春天酒店 室內湯屋 · show this name to taxi drivers

Unlike many private hot spring rooms in Beitou, the indoor rooms here take one person: an hour alone in milky white-sulfur water for NT$600, at any time of day or night. The resort sits on the hillside above Xinbeitou, with a free shuttle from the MRT.

How to visit, step by step

  1. Take the hotel's free shuttle from Exit 1 of Beitou or Xinbeitou Station (check the timetable on the hotel website), or walk about 20 minutes uphill from Xinbeitou
  2. At the hot spring counter, ask for an indoor private room (室內湯屋) for one person. It costs NT$600 per adult for one hour, the same price every day, and is open 24 hours
  3. Rooms are handed out on the spot and can't be booked by phone, so you may have to wait when it's busy
  4. Ask at the counter what towels and toiletries are included, or bring your own
  5. You have the room to yourself, so no swimsuit is needed. Rinse off before getting in and take breaks if the water feels too hot
  6. The outdoor pools are a separate ticket (NT$800) and need a swimsuit and swim cap
Don't miss: A one-hour private soak in milky white-sulfur water, with the room all to yourself.
Best time to go alone: A weekday daytime, when you're less likely to wait for a room. Late at night also works, since the rooms never close.
