How to visit, step by step

  1. Walk into Beitou Park from Xinbeitou Station. The wooden library is about 5 minutes along Guangming Road, next to the Hot Spring Museum
  2. Walk in during opening hours. You don't need a library card or a ticket to read inside
  3. This is a working public library, so keep your voice down and don't disturb readers
  4. Ask the staff before taking photos inside. You can photograph the building freely from the park
  5. Find a seat on one of the wooden balconies or in the outdoor reading area among the trees
  6. It's closed on the first Thursday of each month and on public holidays
Don't miss: A seat on a wooden balcony, looking out into the trees of Beitou Park.
Best time to go alone: A weekday morning or late afternoon, when there are fewer sightseers.
