Ruifang Food Court

瑞芳美食廣場 · show this name to taxi drivers

A traditional market across the road from Ruifang Station, turned into an indoor food court with local stalls selling meatball soup, oil rice, oyster omelets, pepper buns and old-style black tea. It's a cheap, easy solo meal while you change between trains and the buses to Jiufen or the Pingxi Line.

How to order, step by step

  1. Cross the road from Ruifang Station to the food court at No. 2, Lane 35, Minsheng Street
  2. Walk around the stalls first. Each one sells its own dishes and keeps its own hours
  3. Order and pay at the stall. Have cash ready
  4. Eat at the indoor seating area, sharing a table if it is busy
  5. Several stalls close on Mondays, so come on another day if you can
What to order solo: A bowl of meatball soup from Fengwei (stall 8), or oil rice with soup from Jiajia (stall 2), then an old-style black tea. Lin's Fuzhou pepper buns come out of the oven in batches, so you may wait for one.
Best time to go alone: Late morning or early afternoon, Tuesday to Sunday.
