How to visit, step by step

  1. Walk to No. 218, Section 2, Guiyang Street, about 5 minutes north of Lungshan Temple
  2. Walk in freely. No ticket or booking is needed
  3. Look up at the eight-sided carved ceiling and the stone carving in the front hall
  4. Keep your voice low, don't stand in front of people praying and skip the flash near the altars
  5. The yearly festival follows the lunar calendar, so its dates change every year. Expect very big crowds if your visit falls on festival days
Don't miss: The eight-sided carved ceiling and the stone carvings, best seen slowly on a quiet afternoon.
Best time to go alone: A weekday afternoon. During the yearly festival near the end of the year it is packed, which is exciting to watch but hard going alone.
