Hsiung Chi Scallion Pancake

A street stall on the 2026 MICHELIN Bib Gourmand list, frying flaky, crisp scallion pancakes at the entrance to Gongguan Night Market for more than 30 years. Each pancake is made to order with the fillings and sauces you pick, so it is an easy snack for one, but there are no seats and a line forms as soon as it opens.

How to order, step by step
- Find the stall where Lane 108 meets Roosevelt Road, at the entrance to the night market
- Join the line - orders are taken in turn
- Choose your fillings (egg, cheese, corn, ham or bacon), or ask the owner to make the house favorite
- Ask for basil and honey mustard sauce, and add chili if you like it hot
- Pay in cash, then eat standing nearby - there are no seats
What to order solo: One pancake with egg and cheese, finished with basil and honey mustard. A pancake with several fillings was about NT$80 in early 2026.
Best time to go alone: Right at 16:00 on a weekday, before the evening line. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
