Niu Xi Sukiyaki & Mizutaki (Taipei 101)

牛喜壽喜燒水炊鍋 台北101店 · show this name to taxi drivers

A counter restaurant in the Taipei 101 basement food court where every diner gets their own pot: Kansai-style sukiyaki or Hakata-style mizutaki, a chicken-broth hot pot. You sit at the counter facing the kitchen, which makes it an easy hot pot meal on your own.

How to order, step by step

  1. Walk in - there are no reservations, so wait for a free counter seat
  2. Choose sukiyaki or the chicken-broth mizutaki
  3. Pick your meat - the pork and chicken sets cost less than the Japanese wagyu set
  4. Cook in your own pot - the menu shows the cooking steps with pictures
  5. Ask how you can pay when you order
What to order solo: A pork or chicken set (NT$398 on the spring 2026 menu) is the cheaper choice; the wagyu sukiyaki set was NT$598. The mizutaki ends with rice porridge cooked in the leftover broth.
Best time to go alone: A weekday between 14:00 and 17:00. It closes at 20:30, earlier than the rest of the mall.
