How to visit, step by step
- From Songshan MRT (Exit 1 or 5), walk to Ciyou Temple at the east end of Raohe Night Market
- Head one block north towards the river to the Raohe floodgate and take the stairs over the flood wall to the riverside park
- Walk across the bridge and back, or stroll along the riverside path. The bridge is for walkers and bikes only, so keep to one side
- From the far (Neihu) side you can line up the bridge with Taipei 101 in the distance
- The riverside can close during typhoons or high water, and the bridge ends close briefly during events
- After dark, stay on the lit bridge and the main paths rather than empty stretches of the riverside
Don't miss: Crossing the lit-up bridge after dark and looking back at its reflection in the river.
Best time to go alone: Around sunset or after dinner at Raohe Night Market. Weekend evenings and event days are busier.
